Coffee Tables
The center of the living room — wood, marble, glass, and travertine in every shape.
Coffee tables in solid wood, real marble, mirrored glass, and travertine. Round, rectangular, oval, and sculptural designs sized from 36" to 60" wide. Most ship free.
What size coffee table do I need?
A coffee table should be two-thirds the length of your sofa. For an 84" sofa, that's a 56" table. Leave 14"–18" between the table edge and the front of the sofa.
How tall should a coffee table be?
Match the height to your sofa seat cushion, give or take 2". Most sofas seat at 17"–19", so coffee tables fall in that range. Lower tables (under 16") suit modern, lounge-style rooms.
Round, rectangular, or oval?
Round and oval tables suit rooms with foot traffic — no sharp corners. Rectangular tables maximize surface area along longer sofas. Square tables work best with sectionals or symmetrical seating.
Material care basics
Wood: use coasters, refinish every 5–10 years. Marble: seal once a year, blot spills fast. Glass: clean with vinegar and water. Travertine: porous, seal twice a year.
